... What does everyone think of life? do we take it for granted? "ahhh..there's always tomorow..." thats the normal line people usually say. procrastination has become the norm in our normal everyday life. thinking that tomorow will always come. the past week was a depressing one. exactly a week ago, the Kang family had lost a member. a very valuable and important member. my Grandfather passed away after a head injury due to a fall. sighh... Penang will never be the same again. no more visits to the house, no more fresh coconuts from the tree behind the house, no more happy smiley greeting from my grandfather. sighhhhh... have never cried so much in such a long time. not sobbing cry tho. at least he didnt suffer, that's what everybody kept saying. which is true in a way. we were never really close. but i'd like to think i was the closest of the 3 of us(my bro, sis,me). i was the only one that actually went to penang alone;without the family. and of course visiting my grandfather. i actually sat down and talked to him; nothing personal or watsoever. but it was still a conversation. The thing with my grandfather was that he was always happy when we went down. when we were young, we'd always go there to play in the beach; run around, swimming at times. my sister even got chased around by the old dog many times. it was always her only. dont know why. all of that is gone now. sighhhh. we were supposed to go up to penang this week for my sister and her husband to pay their respects to grandfather. he couldnt make it for their wedding. but it is too late. anyway, lotsa new stuff came about this trip to Penang. new family members were acknowledged, old misunderstandings cleared, new relations found and lots more. some history about the family was realised by me too. stories of the past were told. it's like a family reunion. i guess what they say is true; Reunions usually happen best at weddings and Funerals. which is actually quite sad. but true... well, he had a great life. all his kids turned out right. all Their kids turned out alright. well, i'm basically the LAST one of the generation that is still left hanging around. ahhh... Grandfather, you will always live on in our thoughts. May you Rest In Peace. You are a success altogether. You are and will be missed by all of us.
